Childcare
• We have a full, extended services provision offering before-and after-school childcare from 8am to 6pm throughout the year at our dedicated Early Years Centre. Contact the Childcare Manager Elaine Carr on 01234 743173.
• Children can attend the Centre from 2+ and use the free 5 morning sessions when they are 3 years, available via the Nursery education funding grant. All childcare vouchers will be accepted and may be used for payment or part payment towards fees.
Parenting support
• The school has an on-site Parent Support Assistant (see below for contact details) Barbara has an office in our Early Years Centre. You can 'drop in' or make an appointment.
• The village also provides a vibrant and well attended Parent and Toddler group at the village hall (across from the school) on Wednesday and Friday, between 9.30am - 11,30am. This is a great place to find out about other childcare opportunities including registered childminders, currently Mrs Parker and Mrs Linnell, within the village.
Lessons+
The school offers a varied selection of enrichment activities that change during the year according to the season, e.g.:
• Specialist sports coaches provide after-school sessions which include 'bikeability'. Please ring the school for an up to date list of current activities and their cost

• Gifted and Talented workshops run monthly in conjunction with partnership with EBP Contact Susan Ploetz on 01525 408086 aimed at Year 4 - Year 6 pupils.
Holiday activities
The school provides a holiday club during every school holiday and INSET day 52 weeks a year.
This is based at the Early Years Centre and has access to all the amenities of the school including the large field, adventure/trim trail and playground. Activities take account of the needs and interests of the children who attend.
Something for everyone
Houghton Conquest has a bi-monthly parish newsletter which details all the current activities within the village including:
Horticultural Society, W.I , Art Society, Mothers Union, Brownies, The Conquest Players, Floral Friends Flower Club, Indoor bowls, Line Dancing, Qi Kwan Do (for adults and children), Thursday Club, Parish Paths Partnership and Lighthouse (Sunday school).
