We are a modern and well-resourced two-form entry primary school for 4- to 9-year-olds at the centre of our village community. We make full use of our outstanding, local natural facilities, including The Marston Vale Forest Visitors Centre and our 14th-century village church of St. Mary's, both within easy walking distance.

Childcare

• Before- and after-school childcare, Mon-Fri, whilst the school is open.

• During the school holidays a \'Play Scheme\' is organised by Chimneytots Pre-School at the school in designated purpose-built accommodation.

• Both Church End Care Club and the Chimneytots Holiday Play Scheme cater for children aged three to nine years.

We endorse a fully inclusive policy and are happy to meet with parents to discuss more specific or specialist requirements.

Parenting support

• The school is home to Marston Vale Children\'s Centre which serves the villages of Wootton, Shelton, Stewartby, Lidlington and Marston Moretaine.

• Staff are trained in supporting parents in a range of family-related issues.

Lessons+

• A variety of educational trips and after-school clubs and activities: e.g. Being evacuated to Bedford on the train as part of World War Two topic, a three day Outside Adventure Activity Course in Lincolnshire, and the delights of the Roald Dahl Museum.

• A range of sporting activities has included Swimming, Rugby, Football and a Mini-Olympics for children in Key Stage 1.

• Our popular Tuesday Clubs offer a range of short courses covering areas such as the Arts, Technology, Sport and even a Story Time Session for younger children!

Holiday activities

• During the Christmas, Easter and summer breaks Chimneytots Pre-School plan and organise Holiday Play Schemes. They offer a range of exciting activities designed to support hard-working families.

Something for everyone

• NEW! - Back to Basics, Absolute Beginners Computer Course for Adults. This course commences on TUESDAY 27th APRIL and runs for ten weeks at the school. Every Tuesday 7pm - 8.30pm. Small donation requested to cover refreshment costs.

• Church End hosts a weekly Chatterbox Coffee Morning organised by Vale Community Church who meet at the school every other Sunday.

• We have Tae-kwon-do classes on Tuesdays between 5pm - 6pm and Thursdays between 5.30pm - 6.30pm

• We hold Gymnastics Classes on Monday, Thursday and Friday between 3.30pm - 4.30pm. Each session costs £3
